ALL ABOUT ARIEL

I am a real life mermaid living above the sea.  I love everything to do with water from Surfing to Stand Up Paddleboarding, Scuba Diving to Wake Surfing.  Living in Canada, I play year round on the frozen water.  I spend my winters searching out powder on my snowboard.  My favorite trick snowboarding are boardslides 180s.

I love to challenge myself and explore my passions and am now WPA Class 1, PaddleFit Level 3; Paddle Canada Certified and have taken clinics with legendary watermen and women like Dave Kalama, Candice Appleby, Danny Ching and Jamie Mitchell to name a few.  Having the amazing opportunity to compete amongst these legends has been remarkable.  I love to share my passions with others as a Snowboard and SUP instructor and enjoy volunteering with fabulous organizations like Surfers Healing, bringing kids with Autism out on the water for what can be a life changing experience.  In 2012, I was the first women to complete a paddle across Lake Ontario, the 65km SUP4MS paddle to raise money and awareness for the charity.  Through SUPn'Girls, I encourage women to enjoy and protect our beautiful waters.

As much as I am fun loving, I can be equally competitive and enjoy racing SUP and competing in Surfing on a Shortboard, Longboard and SUP.  I am the 2013 Ontario Sup Series Elite Women's Champion as well as the series Ambassador.  I was named the 2013 Girl of Summer by the Great Lakes Surfers and was proud to be the ESA Women's Open Championship at the Magilla Schaus Memorial Surf Contest last fall.  I plan to continue to push myself as an athlete, instructor and to break new grounds with SUP.

Together with AERIALclothing, I hope to continue to give back to the surf community and continue to help others get hooked on life as I am.  AERIALclothing and I share the same name, values and passion, it is a perfect fit for my extreme lifestyle!!
